  • Who can attend the 2024 UC Tech Annual Conference?
  • The event is open to UC-system faculty and staff members only.
  • Is virtual attendance available? 
  • No, this year’s UC Tech will not have a virtual option. Recordings of the keynote addresses will be available after the conference. 
  • Can students attend the UC Tech Conference? 
  • No, this year's conference is not open to students. However, we plan to invite our UC Davis IET student employees to provide assistance during the event.
  • Can I register on a mobile device?
  • Yes, registration is supported on mobile devices.  
  • Is group registration allowed? 
  • No, the registration form only allows individual registration.  
  • Can I register for others? 
  • No, only keynote speakers may be registered by others. Everyone else should register for themselves. This is because the registration form contains personal questions related to an individual’s food preferences, special accommodation needs, choice to attend the Sunday reception, and interest in public transportation during the conference.
  • Is one day or partial registration allowed? 
  • No, one-day or partial registration is not available. Registration covers the entire three-day program. 
  • What is included in my registration? 
  • Your registration includes: 

    Event Program-Sunday welcome reception and Monday evening reception 
    -UC Tech Awards Ceremony 
    -Keynote addresses from technology leaders 
    -Dozens of breakout sessions and panel discussions 
    -Networking opportunities 
    -Games and activities 
    Food and Beverages-Sunday: dinner 
    -Monday: breakfast, lunch & dinner 
    -Tuesday: breakfast & lunch
    -Snacks 
    Transportation

    An optional shuttle bus will take attendees to/from the UC Davis Health reception in Sacramento and to/from the Davis campus.

    NOTE: Indicating your public transportation interests on the registration form does not secure your transportation arrangements. It only helps us gauge how many shuttle buses will need to run during the conference.

    IMPORTANT: Travel and accommodation are not included in the registration fee, and they will need to be secured separately.

  • What is the registration fee for the UC Tech Conference? 
  • Registration is free for the following roles: 

    -Single or main Session presenter, Birds of a Feather presenter, or Poster presenter (if you are part of a group or panel, only one presenter will receive a discount code for free registration)  
    -Volunteer
    -UC Tech Ambassador who is also a volunteer
    -VIP panel presenter
    -Keynote speaker 
    -Vendor sponsor

    Registration for everyone else is $300 per person.

  • How do I get my discount code?  
  • If you are the main Session presenter, Birds of a Feather presenter, or a Poster presenter, then you will receive your discount code via email. Volunteers can check in with their committee co-chairs or with the managing sponsors: https://uctech2024.ucdavis.edu/2024-planning-committees.
  • I am having issues with my registration. Where do I go for help? 
  • Please email uctechregistration@ucdavis.edu.  
  • What is the cancellation/refund Policy? 
  • To be eligible for a full refund, you must cancel your registration on or before September 30, 2024. 
  • Can I get an invoice/receipt for my payment?
  • Yes, both options are available with your registration. A link to your registration record will also be sent to the email you used to register. 
  • What types of payments are accepted? 
  • Debit or credit card only. 
  • Is there a waitlist if I registration fills up? 
  • We expect registration to fill up quickly, so don’t wait to register. If registration is full, we will have a waitlist in case of cancellations.
  • Where should I book my hotel, Sacramento or Davis?
  • Both cities offer fantastic experiences and where you choose to stay will depend on your preferences. Check out our blog post that weighs the pros and cons of booking in each city.
