Meet the Keynote Speakers for the 2024 UC Tech Annual Conference

The 2024 UC Tech Annual Conference is delighted to introduce our two keynote speakers for this year’s event, both of whom are incredible thought leaders and educators from the University of California, Davis.

Dr. Raissa D’Souza, the Associate Dean of Research for the College of Engineering and a Professor of Computer Sciences and Mechanical Aerospace Engineering, will be speaking on Day 2 of the program with her keynote, “Harnessing UC to Navigate Our Complex, Interconnected World in the Age of AI.” She will explore how AI is influencing systems in our modern society and how AI can be integrated for the betterment of humanity. Read Dr. D'Souza's full bio and keynote address.

Joining us for Day 3 of the program will be Dr. Martin Hilbert, the Computational Social Science Chair and a Professor of Communication. His keynote, “AI Unleashed: Navigating Boundless Intelligence & Existential Risks — Choosing Our Future” will explore the opportunities and challenges for humans to be part of the generative AI revolution.
